HAIR LOSS AND HAIR THINNING PROBLEMS DUE TO VITAMIN DEFICIENCY

Eating nutritious food not only helps to keep us healthy, but also helps to strengthen and prevent various diseases that may occur as well. Although we all know that eating the 5 food groups is important, not everyone is able to eat all the nutrients that their body needs each day. Just waking up in the morning and going through a traffic jam to work is already hard, right? Not just eat all 5 food groups, some people don’t even have time for breakfast. The lack of nutrients or lack of vitamins can also be another cause of hair loss, hair thinning to the case of baldness. So how do we know if we are deficient in any vitamin? • Vitamin B2: indigestion, stomach is not working properly, photophobia, sore eyes, red eyes and watery eyes, including cheilitis etc.

  • Vitamin B6: insomnia, some skin diseases including noticeable hair loss and hair thinning.
  • Vitamin B12: having an anemia results in pale skin, weakness, lightheadedness, tachycardia, rapid breathing, and systemic disorders.
  • Vitamin B is found in the most common foods we eat every day, such as vegetables, grains, nuts, and all kinds of meat.

Vitamin H or Biotin – Keeps nails, hair and skin healthy. Therefore, biotin deficiency can cause a red rash on the face, especially around the eyes, nose and mouth, and can cause depression, lethargy, hallucinations, or tingling in the arms and legs. If the body does not get enough of this vitamin each day, it will greatly affect the hair because it will cause abnormal hair loss, white hair, fragile hair, split ends, scalp inflammation. If you leave it like this for a long time, that area will go into a bald stage. Moreover, Biotin is produced by our body itself.

If we are deficient in this nutrient, there are often symptoms of anemia, feeling irritable, insomnia, fatigue, tiredness, dizziness and because it is an essential nutrient for the blood when the blood is insufficient. As a result, the hair is affected as well due to incomplete blood circulation. Iron can be found in red meat, animal organs, dark green leafy vegetables, etc.

Zinc – It is another nutrient that the body cannot produce on its own and is necessary for the body in terms of strengthening the body’s immune system, reducing the duration of illness and alleviating cold symptoms and helping the wound heal faster. It also stimulates skin cell turnover that is essential for DNA formation, nourishes hair health, reduces all hair problems, including premature gray hair. If we don’t get enough zinc per day, it will cause hair loss, hair thinning, easy bruising, inflammation, irritation on the skin, also dry, peeling, lack of moisture, rough skin. Zinc is found in meat, liver, milk, seafood, brown rice, sunflower seeds, etc.

Vitamins and nutrients are essential to the body and can actually help with hair loss and hair thinning. Therefore, if we are unable to eat all 5 food groups in the amount sufficient to meet the needs of the body each day, then taking vitamin supplements to help is considered possible without breaking any rules. However, keeping your body healthy is still a must in order to stay healthy and avoid hair loss and hair thinning problems.
