I am often asked by my patients why transplanted hair doesn’t grow well in the first 3 months. Actually, it is very normal because most transplanted hair will fall out 2 weeks after surgery. Most patients panic when that time comes. But don’t worry. If you look closer, you will see only hair falls out but the follicle will remain underneath a scalp. Your new hair will start to regrow in the 3rd month after surgery by 10-30%. You will see a significant change in the 6th month which new hair grows by 50-60% and fully grow in 12 months

Although I explain this information to all patients before they go for a surgery, but they’re still worried about their first 3 months in anyway when the time comes (ha).
