Mr.Song Jatuporn is someone who has been dealing with hair thinning due to genetics from a young age. His forehead was noticeably high for someone just 20 years old, which made him feel a bit insecure. The thinning hair also gave him an older appearance. It was time to find a solution. Today, Hairsmith Clinic is here to share a real patient’s hair transplant review with you. Let’s take a look!
I started noticing my hair thinning at a young age, and my forehead seemed higher than most people my age—I was only 20. It really affected my confidence, and thinning hair made me look older than I was. I realized I needed to do something about it, so I started looking into hair transplants.
With so many clinics out there, how did you choose the one that worked for you?
There are a ton of hair transplant clinics these days, but I went through reviews to make my decision. I wanted something that looked natural, so I visited several clinics. Finally, I settled on Hairsmith Clinic. Honestly, I didn’t expect much at first because many places are focused on selling you things. But when I met Dr. Prima, I was pleasantly surprised. She only recommended what I actually needed, and the whole team was straightforward. No one pressured me, which made me feel comfortable. Plus, they were really helpful in scheduling the procedure when it suited me.
How did you prepare for the procedure?
The clinic gave me some tips beforehand. If you’re on any medication or supplements like aspirin, vitamin E, or fish oil, which can slow blood clotting, you need to stop taking them two weeks before the transplant. Other than that, just rest well. You don’t need to fast or avoid food, just eat normally. They also suggested wearing a dark, button-up shirt on the day of the procedure so I wouldn’t have to pull it over my head after the transplant and risk touching the area.

Tell us about the actual day of the transplant. How did it go?
First, they did a quick HIV and COVID test. Then, I met with Dr. Prima again to design my hairline and finalize the number of grafts needed. I had 2,500 grafts transplanted using the FUE technique. I’ll admit, I thought the cost was a bit high at first, but now that I’m looking back, it was totally worth it. I’ll explain why later. After that, they washed my hair, shaved a small section in the back, and we were ready to go.
I was really prepared for the worst—pain, swelling, you name it—but honestly, the whole process was surprisingly painless! Even when it was almost done, Dr. Prima had me check the results in a mirror to make sure I was happy with it. Very thorough.

What was the recovery like?
Two days after the transplant, I went back to the clinic for a check-up and wash. I had no swelling or pain at all. They advised me to be extra careful not to touch or scratch the area, especially because the grafts are still fragile at this stage. Around seven days in, I noticed some scabbing, but Dr. Prima reassured me it was normal. After 14 days, I used some cold-pressed coconut oil to soften the scabs and gently wash them off. As for the donor area, the hair started growing back pretty quickly.
How did things progress over the following months?
After three months, I started seeing tiny baby hairs come in. The donor area was fully grown back by then. By six months, the transplanted hair had thickened a lot. Even at this point, I could already tell it was a huge improvement. By the one-year mark, it was fully grown in, and Dr. Prima confirmed that everything looked great. There were no more follow-up appointments unless I wanted to consult her, which was reassuring.
Looking back now, do you feel like the transplant was worth it?
Definitely! Like I mentioned earlier, at first, I thought the price was on the higher side, but now I realize it was a great investment. The hairline Dr. Prima designed looks incredibly natural—no one can tell I had a transplant. That’s thanks to her artistry. What I appreciated most was the excellent service. The staff was attentive, and Dr. Prima’s skills were top-notch. There were no surprise costs throughout the whole year, and they even provided free hair growth medication. Every check-up was free of charge.
The clinic also offers a guarantee on their work. Some people might say that if a doctor is good, they shouldn’t need to offer a guarantee, and while that may be true, having one gives you peace of mind. Hair transplants are a big investment, and it’s comforting to know that if something goes wrong, you’re covered.
Now, I feel so much more confident. I’m not afraid of the wind messing up my hair, and I feel great styling it however I want. Having fuller, thicker hair really makes a difference—it boosts your confidence and just makes you feel good about yourself.
I’m really glad I decided to go through with the transplant. I want to thank Hairsmith Clinic for giving me back my confidence!
