After deciding to get a hair transplant, it’s now been a year, so I wanted to share my experience with everyone! I’m sure over half the men in this country have dealt with a receding hairline. I’ve always had a high forehead, which made me feel less confident when styling my hair. Plus, it made me feel like I looked older than I actually was. On top of that, several of my friends had gotten hair transplants at different clinics, so I was lucky enough to hear their firsthand experiences.
I decided to go with Hairsmith after hearing reviews and seeing the results on my friend’s hairline. Personally, I liked the natural look. Compared to some of my other friends who got transplants elsewhere, their hairlines sometimes looked a bit like wigs—too straight and unnatural. Some of them still have to style their hair to cover it up because they know it doesn’t look quite right. I took my time deciding where and when to do it, as I had to head back to work in Singapore right after the procedure, so I needed a clinic I could really trust. After doing my research and talking to friends in Singapore and the U.S., most recommended Hairsmith.
I got 1,300 grafts in total, at 75 THB per graft (2024 price), and it was a one-time payment. They also included one free PRP session, but throughout the year, I also had to take hair growth medication, which they provided, and did red light laser therapy. I felt more confident with my decision since the doctor told me they’d follow up with me through LINE, which was super convenient for someone like me living abroad.
The procedure took about 3-4 hours, and the next day, I went back to the clinic for a hair wash and wound cleaning. They also taught me how to wash my hair properly afterward. Honestly, it wasn’t too complicated. I was able to wash my hair daily after that, and the day after the procedure, I flew back to Singapore with no issues at all.
When I first saw the results immediately after the procedure, I couldn’t have imagined how great my hair would look a year later. After a year, I even had my fortune read, and they said my career would really take off—and it’s been true! Lately, aside from my full-time job, I’ve been getting brand deals for product reviews, so work and money have been flowing in! But of course, that’s just a personal belief.
I hope my review helps anyone considering their first hair transplant. My advice is to read lots of reviews, go with a trustworthy clinic, and check the doctor’s experience as a priority.
